Global Entrepreneurship Week 2016 at The Business Factory

To celebrate Global Entrepreneurship week 2016, which is the week commencing 14th November 2016, we have a variety of events scheduled for you here at The Business Factory North Tyneside.  Our calendar of events includes the following:-

Monday 14th November, 2016  

09:30 – 12:30  Idea’s Generation: An opportunity for residents to meet with one of our start-up advisors and have an interactive morning looking at possible business start-up ideas with like minded individuals.  Access to our database of over 450 business ideas, assistance with help turning hobbies into business ideas, exploring likes and dislikes, skills and talents with the end result in some possible viable business start-up idea’s to go away and explore.

13:00 – 16:00  Introduction to Self-Employment.

Tuesday 15th November, 2016

09:30 – 12:30  Introduction to Self-Employment.

09:30 – 12:30  Advanced Facebook and Instagram Workshop

13:00 – 16:00 Advanced Twitter and Hootsuite Workshop

13:00 – 16:00 Business Planning 1: Looking at; Business Opportunity & Products and Services; Overview of the business; The business owner/manager(s); Description of products and services; Markets and Competitors; The market; Customer base; The future.

Wednesday 16th November, 2016

13:00 – 16:00  Introduction to Self-Employment.

Thursday 17th November, 2016

09:30 – 12:30  Business Planning 2: Looking at; Marketing and Sales; Position; Pricing; Promotion; Reach; Selling; Operations; Location; Production facilities; Resources; Management information systems; Information technology (IT); Financial Forecast; Risk analysis and SWOT analysis.

13:00 – 16:00  Business Planning 1: Looking at; Business Opportunity & Products and Services; Overview of the business; The business owner/manager(s); Description of products and services; Markets and Competitors; The market; Customer base; The future.

Friday 18th November, 2016

09:30 – 12:30  Introduction to Self-Employment.

Saturday 19th November, 2016

11:00 to 14:00  Business Start-up Community Day at Whitley Bay Library giving voluntary groups in the community an opportunity for recruitment and networking.  There will be an opportunity for residents interested in business start up advice to get some help and information from the Business Factory Start-up advisors and we will have some young entrepreneurs and recent start ups present promoting their businesses (giving out cards/flyers etc) and also to network and sharing experiences. – Contact Alison Bird, 0191 643 5428 or email alison.bird@northtyneside.gov.uk for more information of this event.
